Ideas for a Halloween party?

Question

I am thirteen, and I believe I've gotten too old for trick-or-treating, so I've decided to throw a party.

My dad doesn't want it to be one of those stupid Halloween parties with tons of games and stuff, but I need ideas so the party will be entertaining.

My two friends (they are both girls, so I am I, so that limits costume ideas a little) are enthusiastic and happy to be part of the "staff" to help with decorating and doing the scares.

I have a rather large house, and I may be able to make a haunted house outside since we live on a moderately large property. Ideas for scares in the haunted house and party games?

We already thought of this:

Blood Mary game: Someone has to go into the bathroom alone and say Bloody Mary three times into the mirror while the room is dark except for a candle. They must swear not to say what happened in the room. After they say it, I will be outside to tap on the window slowly in the bathroom, and one of my friends will be hiding behind the shower curtains, and will start moaning and come out in a costume. Whoever doesn't get freaked out wins a candy bar.

Bonfire: This was my dad's idea. We have a bonfire in the yard. XD

Scary Movies: Scary movies will be playing all during the party. People can listen in on the movies if they want.

Ideas for the haunted house/decorations/games/entertainment?

I have 150 dollars saved up for party decorations and food, but one of my friends has tons of decorations and I think they'll lend me some of theirs.

I need a lot of time to plan this, and I need some brain sparks.

Haunted house idea: Get a couldren. most halloween novelty stores will have one. Or just use a black pot. Fill it will water and green food coloring plus some sugar. Pour in some gummy worms. While they pass by ladle some "slime" up, show them, and say "Want some of my potion." They will be grossed out and, since it will be edible and probably yummy, take a sip and say "mm delicious!"

Make sure you buy a CD with all scary songs and noises on it and play it at various points in the house. Make signs that say "No going back" and "Its too late to leave" "No way out" "save yourself now!" all writeen as if they were in blood.

I am definite that a lot of halloween stores sell smoke machines. Those are always creepy!

You could also buy that fake cobweb stuff and put that around the house. Stick some fake spiders on and WALAH!

If you have a projector or anything like it, make it project pictures of ghosts and skeletons on the wall.

Try getting a dummy or doll and hang it to the ceiling as if this "person" has hung himself/herself.

Junkfood. Lots of it! Cheesedoodles, cupcakes with halloween sprinkles, and this little recipe I call MUD:

-Make some brownies and also make some choc. pudding

-Once done, mix together in a large bowl.

-Rip up some marshmellows and cookie crumbs, mix those in too.

-Make sure its nice and thick, like MUD!

-Finishing touch-put in little skeleton dolls or pictures of gravestones and other halloween symbols.

-Its also very delicious and a total crowd pleaser.

Punch:

-Large bowl with sprite/seltzer, hawaiian punch, and your favorite juice

-Put in fake fingers and eyeballs (just make sure no one drinks it!)

man i wish i was ur friend!! that party sounds awshum!!

keep ur liveing room lights off. have those flashy lights that flash on and off over and over again rlllly fast. it looks sooo cool. trust me. and if everyone dances in that room itll look even better!!!! that may be a bit better that tv i think lolz...  turn on all the other rooms in the houses lights on(i meen he ones people r goin in) then hang orange party streamers from the ceiling. and between every door way, hang party sreamers (long so they touch the floor) and beads on them.  a game u could play is the apple in a barrel game. u put a bunch of apples in a large bucket and let people bite them out.  i think u should buy a bunch of small pumpkins to give to the lil kids to decorate and if any teens wanna have 1 they can too...  for the haunted house... meh. just print scary photos and tape them to walls.... have windows that u know people cant see so ur friends can scream out of them. it def makes peeps jump trust mee. (i fell rite on the floor wen sum1 did it to mee xD)

oh. nd just buy food like pumpkin pie.. cupcakes.. chips.. junkfood... and u can have a weenie roast over the fire!! wat u do it u take hotdogs and u put them on a stick. nd cook them over the fire!!!  

to invite people? hmm. just mke inventations and send them to ur friends. and allow each of ur friends to bring like 2 people(u gotta kno them nd trust them) each maybe. write or buy cards and just give them to ur friends in person =3 thats wat im doin xD
