I need to make a boardgame for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and I need ideas.

I'm doing the triwizard tournament.

i have a maze, dragons, golden egg, merperson. but the actual gameplay, i'm going blank

I have a lot of ideas, but i'm running out such as:

land on bad spaces, go back.

land on good spaces, go forward.

land on your specific school color and pick up a card....

ideas for the three tasks if you can, if not, then it's okay =]

Everyone has to be able to play it even if you haven't read the book.

I know this is my homework, but ideas will really be appreciated.

  1. land on a magic square and say a spell from the book/movie

  2. dobbey the house elf could be one of the players with his sweaters

  3. say if you land on maybe harry or malfoy then pick up a card have two decks, friend or foe or villian or hero or something...

  4. ok for the go back spaces say u got hit by the hungarian horntail or u fell of ur broom. for the go forward spaces say u dodge the tail or say u speed boost on the broom go three spaces. for the school color say that the horntail charged at u but it hit a pile of rocks and got stuck or somthing.

  5. i think i will be nice if each one of the player has 10 lives and a character (harry, sedric, fleur, crum ). there are going to be action cards, spell cards and help cards. also a board with the three tasks. to pass the first task you should get:

example: 2 help cards, 5 action cards and 3 spell cards.

i think you can imagine the rest of the game

  6. the kindly horse/human could be a player :

use a spinner instead of dice if you land on say...bad luck.

with bad things on the spinner like,

" lose a  life with the  person on  your right"

that way 2 lives are lost and the game won't take FOREVER to play..... AND the person on your right has a chance to cheer or boo you :) making playing more fun. Try not to make it TOO complicated and play it with a group before you turn it in... :)

good luck it sounds like you are doing a great job !
