okay well my dad's building me a bedroom in my basement, because right now i share a bedroom with my 6 year old sister and i kind of need my space. there's one problem...theres a big cement pole in the room. the pole is holding up my house, so its not like i can take it down, so im stuck with it. my room is gonna be a tropical beach theme. i'm going with the colors blue, green and white (maybe a little tiny bit of yellow) any ideas about tying this pole into my bedroom theme. i don't want to draw to much attention to it. thanks for the help! ohh and NO stripper pole comments PLEASE!!! it's not my fault that its there.

  1. when re-decorating home, bedroom or any other room, always try to choose colors according to feng shui. in this case you will activate powers of 5 elements (water, earth, metal, wood and fire) and support all your lucky "areas" - this will attract love, romance, wealth, money, prosperity, luck etc etc

    good luck!

  2. The pole is not going away, so instead of trying to play it down, on the contrary, play it up!  Make it stand out, as in make it part of the beach scene.  I would turn it into a palm tree or something similar.   You are so lucky to get to have a bedroom of your own and choose a great theme! Good luck!

  3. why dont your turn it into a palm tree??? get creative with it..

  4. lash some bamboo sticks to the pole or get some of those hawiian grass skirts and glue them to the pole to give it that "beach" feel. Or since its cement, you can paint it.
