Question:

Ideas for a bedroom makeover?

by  |  earlier

0 LIKES UnLike

I LOVE bright neon colors, but i was thinking that that might get annoying, so maybe i could have pale pink, orange, or green walls, with one really bright pink, orange or green wall, kinda like an accent wall? Or would that be weird? Also, i really like leopard print, but not really zebra. Does anyone have any color sceme ideas and ideas for comforters, sheets, and window coverings? Something reasonable, not far too expensive.

thanks:]

btw, my favorite color is red.

  1. First of all you should have a theme. If you like a safari look with the zebra or leopard print, bright colors like neons will not work and look nice. Your favorite color is red so start with that first. Paint your walls a bright fire engine red, get an ottoman or a throw in a leopard or zebra print and a few throw pillows with a differant animal print. Put a fake tree with white christmas lights on it in your room. Use dark green and some black for accent colors. Shop for some pictures that go with the theme you are looking for. Check out Bed Bath and Beyond for curtains and bedding, or Linens and Things.

  2. I would wallpaper your bedroom in a eleghant red and white

velvet like design wallpaper. I would buy a slik throw blanket

with two matching pillows. Certains I would do like a twisted

design. Then buy a heart shape rug for the front of the bed and two smaller heart shapes on both sides of the bed. Then

two clear floral vases with roses in it.

  3. Picture this,  hot pink wall and zebra prints for the bed! with a white sheer on the window.http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/ProductImag...

  4. Got a JC Penney catalog?  The colors you are talking about are in there.  That is a great place to get decorating ideas - plus if you like what you see, you can also just order it instead of having to look for it.  Every time I am looking to change something I grab my catalog and sit in the room I want to change.  It works.  Good luck to you.

  5. I would go with the safari theme if I did the leopard print i would paint the walls to go with it in a green forest color then just take a sponge and add some leave type designs on the top border at the ceiling on one wall one the wall opposite of that one i would go with a water color blue then again take a sponge and strike it to make it look like a water falls then the other 2 wall i would paint tan one a bit darker of a shade than the other to match with the print in the leopard colors i would border the top of these with a leopard border wall paper to match my comforter and i would do the block out type valance colors with tan blinds ( they do sell the leopard print bed sets and curtains ) if you can't find the curtains then i would do tan but on the light wall add the dark tan and on the dark wall do the light tan curtain. ( if you are single you could also go a bit wilder with it and drop the bed and add a hammock to the room to sleep on from wall to ceiling hook hanging ) you can get leopard figurines at all sizes and also some fake trees and add any color that you might find on a safari hunt even red leaves etc.

  6. It seems to me that you are the kind of girl that likes CHANGE on a regular basis and to try new and different looks.

To give your bedroom frequent makeovers, go neutral on the walls and floors so you can go wild with new colors, accents and accessories when the mood strikes.

Zebra might not be your favorite print, but when you think about how many BOLD NEON colors you can use with it, it might begin to look more attractive.

You could use red, plum, azure or orange decorative accessories without ever changing your comforter.

  7. Decorate it according to your personality. For example:

    Emo:Black,gray

    Punk:Black w/neon colors.

prep:Pics pf clothes and pink n blu.

  8. The first thing that came to mind was retro 70's theme. You now that part on Austin Powers where he is roller skating. That room is what it reminded me of. You really don't want Bright colors on the walls. What you want is pale or cream light colors on the walls and then use sofas and fruniture and lighting to make it bright and colorfull. You also don't want several different colors like pinks with greens, yellows, purples, and blues all in one room. It should be one general color scheme. You also want accent colors that are on the opposite side of the color wheel. Like pink and cream walls and then accent it with a bright green. Hope it works!!

  9. Lots of people have already given you ideas, so I would suggest going to Polyvore.com, signing up an account, and using that to test out what the results will look like before you go and do all that hard work!

On Polyvore, you can look up bedroom sets, paint colors, etc, and set them up on a canvas. This will help you visualize how well certain color schemes will flow.

    Have fun dearie! -

  10. Just a suggestion on the wall color.  I would go with a pale green color, almost like a sage.  A light green color I believe will go with any bright color you put in there.  Just think how bright flowers all come on green stems.  If you do a light color on the wall it leaves you the room to add the bright colored accents in your accessories.  You can do a neon colored lamp and leopard prints sheets or pillows.  That depends on how much you want in the room.  But again, if you put a neon color on the wall I think that you will think it will get old very quick.

there you go i like this

  12. WOW!

get neon orange and neon green walls. a red ceiling with red carpet. then for your lights get clear but colorful peices of plastic, and put it in front of your lights. and also get red spots on the the neon walls. have fun.

  13. I think for bedroom, look nice using red color if your favorite color is red and combain with black and for window covering wooden blind nicer. for other ideas you can visit http://www.asesidea.com

    Thanks

  14. i think green walls with leopard print blankets would be kinda cool. because green is like the grass and ya know? haha ok that's kind of stupid. but don't get red and green because then your room will look like christmas.maybe like... target or jcpenny would have some inexpensive stuff.

    good luck!

  15. check out wake up frankie

i have orange walls and im planning to get some leopard print stuff

  16. well my dear.

RED is the color of POWER.

it really just stands out and i love it its amazing

it really POPS. well u know how u want one wall one color? i think it would be amazing if you had one wall that was red.! cute eh? yea i know i know. ha. picture frames are nice to have in the room and some art if ur into that. =] go to place like marshalls or ross u could find some good shieet.

  17. Well, check out these sites.

    pbteen.com

urbanoutfitters.com (my fav. but not so reasonable.)

    ikea.com

    roomstogo.com

    jcpenny.com

    anyof those.

Remember to choose something that you like,

but not something you will hate in a couple years.

  18. Maybe have some paler colors on the sides and then have one bright neon color on the wall your bed is against? I think that'd look pretty cool. and you can always have some neons in the covers and stuff. pillows are great! you can have different colors that will accent the room, and they are great for lounging around. choose maybe some of your favorite colors like 3 or 4 that will go together. use those for your main things and then if there are other colors u like, use them for smaller things. for instance (im just picking random colors but use whatever colors u want obviously): a reversable beadspread that's neon pink on one side and neon green on the other side. some accent pillows in both colors and maybe some neon yellow or bright blue or something. pale pink on three of the walls and neon green or orange or something behind ur bed.

  19. You could paint the walls like pale pink... and add loads of neon accessories:) You could get someone to make you net neon pink cutains etc. which would be really cool!

Also if you want to get creative you can buy your own spray paint or fabric paint and add the animal patterns to everything or anything you want!:)

  20. orange, green or yellow is a pretty good idea because they are the best colours! only because they are my favourite colours. hahahaha lol. go for a really bright bedroom. don't blind yourself though. bright colours are catchy so goodluck and have fun! ^^

colours you might want.. such as: orange, green, yellow, pink, blue, silver, red etc ^^

  21. well what you could do is get zebra prints for the curtains and then you could get red colored sham, pillows and stuff for the bed. including quilt and stuff it would be nice or you can use the zebra red tht wasy but i have neer see it that color.

  22. I know that if you get the paint and stuff at walmart that its cheaper.if you like bright colors but don't want to blind yourself try a rich green on the wall wear you bed is at as the accent wall and you can always add designs to that, and as far as bedding goes you could also do that at Wallmart and combine different blankets and color contrasts to that

  23. I wouldn't paint the walls a bright color, but build color in the room. You can change the window treatments, bedding, maybe add/change pictures on the wall. You can add colorful pillows and/or a throw rug. There's lots of things you can do without painting a wall orange.

  24. I have uploaded a zipped folder which contains 72 photos of 'home decoration'.

you can download the file for free if you like and see the pics ;-)

    It's in 4shared, here's the link:

Hey I also found this nice site:

    http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/catego...

  25. Well, neon green, red and cheetah print go really well together also neon green and cheetah print go well together.  If your room is small than try to make it look more spacious. i share a room so to make it look more spacious. hang up posters and put a lot of mirrors on the walls. try to make it your own and only something that you would make up. keep it clean and go with a theme and you'll be fine.

  26. light green walls. Solid color or Some neon green swirls on the wall could be good. Beanbag chair-red. Use the same bed. Arrange items differently. Try and find a "lucky" way to arrange it in your room. Try some sites. They might help. Keep a nice desk there.

  27. okay... really coincidently i just watched a video on a room redecorating site that matched that perfectly!!

Let me find the video for you...

If not, this is what i think would be cool.

    *~WALLS~*

Paint the walls red. Get brightly colored fabric and leopard print fabric, cut them into even, medium sized squares and sew them together. Make every other one or so leopard and the rest just bright colors. Put that on one of your walls, possibly above you bed?

    Something like this...

    http://www.jonathanfongstyle.com/decor/d...

It this particular case, they wrapped the fabric around wooden boards and then placed them on the wall individually. Either way will work!

    ~*FLOOR*~

If you are putting new carpet in, put in brown carpet (maybe even hard wood floor), and get a leopard print rug. Maybe even get some smaller red rugs or just bright colored rugs and put them around it. If you have a smaller room, get either a red or a bright colored rug. We don't want too much leopard   in one spot!!

    *~BED~*

For the bed, leopard print sheets with bright colored pillows, same colors as the ones on your wall.

If you want different colored leopard, heres some pink ones that i found

    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h...

    ~*FURNITURE*~

maybe get a nice little bright orange bean bag or something to accent it a little bit.

    *~DRAPES~*

it'd be cool to put some type of bright color for the top, and then have leopard hanging down.

    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=h...

that only with the top something bright.

  28. Well

  30. okay i would do like a bohemian/chic kind of bedroom. I would paint in like dark purples and blues, a mural with like a pretty sunset. That way you can use lots of reds and yellows and oranges in it too. I would have like blue/red/orange/yellow/dark purple sheets that are nice and heavy. I would put a nice bean bag chair in the corner and a hammock above your bed, so it's like bunk beds. I would sprinkle sparkly silver dust on the wet paint so that it sticks. It would look awesome

  31. i love all the bright shades in this ad

we are redocorating and i'm definately using these colors & indian theme
