Moved into a cool old building, high ceilings, etc. The frontroom is HUGE- we have a living/tv area, office space AND dining room. We are going with black/red/cream. i just got a new dining table - a super cool black high top with a 12" by 12" glass inlay in the center. Any ideas what I can do for a centerpiece?

  1. One option would be,a round pillar holder that holds three different sized pillars, one cream, one black and one red.  You don't necessarily need to light them, just as a decoration.  Another option would be a traditional bowl of fruit, holding black plums and cherries.  A vase of fresh flowers is another option.  A black shallow bowl holding cream and red floating candles would also look nice, just make sure the bowl can hold water.  Good luck on your new home.  Your colors you chose are wonderful!

  2. get a table runner with the theme colors.. and then a square glass candle holder.  put some glass rocks  on the bottom and add some cream color candles....  the candles you can change with the seasons. and the smells will be really great.   you can also get a bamboo but what is the lighting like?  you could also get a glass vase and add some sort of plant.

  3. Get a long, but short, glass container.

Then get black rocks to lay in the bottom.

Then an odd number of lucky bamboo.

    Add water!

This would make an amazing centerpiece for what you have described.
