  1. no, no, no - do not go to tulalip.  it is BORING and for old people.

if you want to have a FUN and FEISTY night you MUST stay in downtown seattle!!  The part with the most cool places to go out is in Belltown, and it's a pretty easy cab ride from the major downtown seattle hotels.

my favorite hotel is the W.  It is definitely pricey HOWEVER the bar downstairs is a fun, swanky place to kick things off (fantastic martinis) and the rooms are really nice.

Have fun and enjoy our beautiful city!!!

  2. Stay downtown, you'll have a lot more fun!  As far as hotels go, I love the W Hotel, I've never actually stayed in that location, but I have been in the lobby for drinks, it is a totally fun place to start off your night and you are close to everything!  It tends to be more expensive than other places though.  (Although I just searched it on Travelocity and rates start at $175 a night...in NYC it is $400)!

The Westin is nice (I have stayed there), they have two round towers which are a block or two from Westlake Center (and the monorail) and an easy walk to the Seattle Center.  Great location and if I remember correctly, the rates were pretty good.  And we could see the Space Needle from our room!  Which was pretty cool to me, even if I did live there all my life (I'm now an East Coaster).

The Edgewater is just classic, I haven't stayed there either, but it is very well known and right on the water.  I've heard nothing but good things about it.

As far as something to do, I'm not sure what you enjoy, but I'll give you some ideas of fun nights I've had out with friends.

When my now husband visited Seattle for the first time we started out meeting friends for drinks in the W Hotel lobby and then headed to the Purple Cafe and Wine Bar right down the street.  They have a huge selection of wine and flights for tasting, as well as some pretty good food.  I recommend making a reservation, we made one a month in advance and still had to make it for 11 p.m. (but we did have 15 people).

You can also get in some good shopping around Pacific Place/Westlake Center.  Go buy some new outfits down there, new makeup at Sephora and go out!  You can always catch a show at the Paramount or the Fifth Avenue too!  Fox Sports is always a fun bar to stop by too, especiall if you like sports!

Those are the things that my BF and I used to do!

    Have fun!
