  1. Try a warm color for an office. chocolate brown, green, or reddish orange!

    4)

  2. Two words "Feng Shui" make your home office really work for you. Try feng shui get a kit I have a feng shui for wealth kit, it helped me set up my office and my home. Its really easy. Good luck

  3. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I read that people are supposed to be more productive in blue rooms, so I think a blue like "jetstream" (# 6492) would be a great color choice.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & for $5 they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  4. I had white walls and what we did was have a milk chocolate brown accent wall and the other walls were a tan/beige. We are painting trim white.

for the desk, use a dark wood......

    yea... well, good luck <3

  6. Depending on your personal taste and style, there's a lot of ways you can go.

The first thing I'd do is find a new color for the walls. White walls are very boring, you're right, but they also make a room brighter and bigger, so you could paint one of your walls a very bright color (as in key lime green) and  downplay it by keeping the surrounding walls pale, or just pick an overall neutral color (very light green, taupe, etc).

    Then, focus on accessories.

Mirrors make a room look bigger, and if you find some with interesting detailing they can really brighten up a room.

Try looking for things that are both stylish and practical (a bright computer chair, stainless steel document holders) since keeping your home office organized will be a priority.

You also want to find a good source of lighting if you don't have one already.

There's a bunch of interesting color tips on this website, you might want to take a look
