Question:

Ideas for a schematic representing race and conflict theory?

For my sociology class I have to make a schematic that connects race to conflict theory. (Alternately, I can choose to connect race to functionalism/order theory or symbolic interaction theory, but I thought conflict theory would make more sense). I need to explain how the theory helps to explain the topic and what, if anything, the theory leaves out when looking at the topic. I need a visual theme that connects to the theory and topic and I have to organize it into a schematic form. I have absolutely no idea how to do this, I've spent the past few days trying to work on it but to no avail! Please help me, any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  1. u draw squares /  ellipses  etc to denote / differentiate events / pple and use arrows to connect / divert one event / person to the next.

if u concentrate on race -black vs white

start fr slave trade - one box to show africans kidnapped fr ghana.  another - sold to plantation owners. u can add pix to show the auction

and so on till martin luther king and  now obama - 1st black chief!?!?

    goodluck

  2. As a case in race, there is a conflict competition between other races,

for example... white races discriminates black races as of their standards, as well as their dignity as a person.

another one, there is a competition between many countries.

As of modernized it would be Japan and USA, but USA have more quality goods than Japan.
