Ideas for a small sweet 16?

My sixteenth birthday party is coming up soon, but I don't know what to do for my party...Usually I don't get to spend a lot on parties...Like, I usually make the cake/cupcakes and get the not namebrand food and drinks...

I'm going to have a small party with my friends...about 10 or 15...but I don't know what to do. Most of them listen to metal, some of them are emo and scene, and a few of them are just average.

Any suggestions as to what I could do?

I just need to tell you how refreshing it is to see a teenager who doesn't care about having some lavish blowout just because they are turning 16.  If you can't tell, I loathe My Super Sweet 16 on MTV.  It makes me soooooooo mad.  If you want to be outside, why not play games like volleyball, kickball, frisbee, even freeze tag.  I dunno if that sounds juvenile to you but my friends and I are in our 20s and we love to run outside and be kids again.  

You can inexpensively do some fun things with food like a taco or nacho bar, make your own sundaes, etc.  

Or maybe an outdoor bonfire.  You can roast hot dogs and marshmallows, play a mix of everyone's favorite music and just hang out.

Cupcakes sound great. You could also do chips and dips, pizza, cookies and a variety of sodas/beverages.  These are your friends, they won't care about the menu. Just do things that are easy so you can have fun at your party.

As for music, since your have friends with a wide variety of tastes, play a wide variety of music and find activities that you know everyone will like.

well get a scary dvd out and get sodas/crisp/ect and all watch that together. it's cheap and everybody can enjoy it.
