Ok we are moving house soon. The bedroom I will be moving into is bright blue has a green carpet and it's pretty small, at at one side it has built in cupboards and a wardrobe.

We can paint it, but not change the carpet. Any ideas on how to make it original? I won't say my style etc as I am looking for a change. I will also have a double bed and thats all that can fit, so I'm looking for decorative ideas eg lights, wall colours, bed cover colours etc. ANY ideas are welcome, thank you!!!! (I'm 15 if this helps)

  1. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/2734-PAINTSHOP

  2. Check out Ikea

  3. you could paint it your favorite color or you could do one of these

orange-a very energizing color that can be very relaxing if put with the right things

light blue-relaxing and pretty. you could put it with cream accents.

    red-feels safe and cozy

    green-friendly

yellow-energized but you can do a pretty golden color or like a carmel color

pink-i would do a medium or dark pink for playfulness and happieness

  4. Hey i personally think you should make it really like a night club style, if your into that stuff, you should get a Uv light (black light) which only cost about £15 from argos which makes your room look cool. Don't make the colours dark in your room,it will make it look smaller. use bright colours.

  5. I don't know how green the carpet in your room is so I found this

they have a lot of selection and plenty of other things to  add to a room..

The other thing is I don't know if I suppose to look for a boy or girl decor !

  6. Oooh give it an earthy theme! It's kind of what I want for my room, shame my carpet is bright red.

Make everything green or brown, paint trees on the walls, things like that. It's pretty cool.

  7. So...you can either work with the green carpet...or pretend it isn't there. It sounds like it's a pretty neutral green. If it's a really small room...you can always see if you can find a big throw that will fit wall to wall in the colors you like (then bam...it's gone...or at least hidden). I would definitely pick a bold color for the walls and paint them. Fresh paint can change the whole look of a room in a big way. Accessorize with lots of fun/cool colored pillows for your bed.

Here's a couple of pics I found. I love the lime green and black room (very cool), or the blue and black! Note...there are a couple that I just thought had some cool stuff on the walls...I know pink isn't your thing :)

  9. A light color will make it look larger.  Behr and Dunn-Edwards have "white" collections that are actually very light colors, which change with the lighting.  A super pale blue or green would look good.  Maybe you could put a white shelf around the top of the walls (about 2 feet down) for extra storage, and then attach some lighting under that over your bed.  Get some cinderblocks (less than $1 each at Home Depot), to put each leg of your bed into.  It will raise the bed up, and allow you to put storage underneath your bed.  Check out Domestications or Overstock.com for bedding.  But, a white with green and blue or green on it would be pretty, light and refreshing......
