Question:

Ideas for a very SIMPLE, cheap digital camera that DOES NOT run on batteries!?

I'm looking for a camera that isn't too hard to use. Most of these "simple" cameras seem to run on batteries, which is really annoying because the batteries don't last very long. I don't need a camera that takes video, but an LCD screen would be nice. Please help!!!

  3. Try using a cybershotT30 camera it is simple to use and has a long lasting battery!

  4. Sorry to say that all cameras run on batteries.  You may want to find one that has a NICAD type battery that is rechargable.

  5. It sounds like what you're looking for is a webcam.. no point and shoot camera is going to work without batteries. Point and shoot cameras are made for portability, and need a portable power source (none that I know of are solar)..

The throw-away film cameras can be taken to the store and made into digital images (for a price), but they too run off of internal batteries (for the flash) and require processing of the film before digital images can be captured.

  6. WOW!!!   A solar powered camera!!   That is a great idea and I want to be the first to own one...  but as yet,  no digital cameras work without batteries  :(   ..  except....

The throwaway digitals that you can get at the pharmacy and they are really pretty cheap too.

  7. kodak cameras are the best i have the 8.2

    it was like90

or you can buy it off ebay

  8. try magiccameras.com  They make cameras that don't use any batteries at all.

  9. no such creature

    sorry

  10. Hmm You don't want to have a battery on the camera, does this mean you want to get a solar powered camera? batteries have to be on cameras, whether you want to change/recharge them or not. Personally, i've never heard of a digital camera which didn't have batteries, and in my opinion, that's a pretty abnormal request, how can it not come with batteries? that makes absolutely no sense what so ever. If i were you i would just get a camera which took aa batteries, and get a fifteen minute charger, it can't NOT have batteries.
