Ideas for childs birthday party? Noah's Ark theme?

Does anyone have any décor idea for s Noah's Ark theme birthday party it will be about 150 kids. The hall can not have balloons. Do you have fun centerpiece ideas? Anything the bags will be mini backpacks filled with various items such as animal crackers or any other idea you have. The children will range in age from 1-13

i do not have a child i am helping a friend decorate a party for her church it is a multi-kid birthday party. So please do not give me a lecture about spending too much money for a childs birthday. It is more of a church celebration.

i agree with TX2 oriental trading even has catalogs you can order free too your home... and they have nice themes for any occasion ..the prices are so inexpensive too.. good luck have a great celebration.....

Have a sign up for tabletop decorating...where the women who's children would be attending this function or whoever wants to would be in charge of decorating one table.

That way it's less stress and more fun...it's neat to see people's different ideas on projects like this.

You would end up having 15 very different takes on the theme.

Make little finger sandwiches w/ the kids favorite fillings.  Use cookie cutters to cut them out in the shape of animals.

well what could be good is making out of card board some hats to fit around there heads of animal it will be very cute cut out the sandwiches in a animal shape buy or order a cake with like a noah theme on it. you could probaly have a pinata shaped as a boat maybe. Waht would be good is to look at some site that sell things for parties which u can order or go their. Oh yea and face painter who paints animals on their faces... hope this helped

go to Oriental Trading Co...  they have quantity favors and decorations at inexpensive prices.  Alot of schoolteachers use their site too:) ... Even if you can't find specifically Noah's Ark, you should be able to find lots of animal things.....

Set up a crafts table with simple masks, have the kids decorate the masks like their favorite animal.

How about a different stuffed animal as the centerpiece for all the tables, w/ each sitting in a basket shaped like an ark? Then, put a sticker on the bottom of the chair, & later in the eve, whoever has the sticker on their chair, wins the 'ark basket w/ the stuffed animals'.

Or better yet, have a 'double set' since the animals were '2 by 2' in pairs.....

Do you have a 'Party City' store near you? I'm sure they have p-plates w/ animals, napkins, etc., plus I know they sell packages of 'lil plastic animals' that you could use then for all the settings, that way everyone gets toy animals....
