  2. -keep your tires inflated

    -avoid sudden/fast acceleration

-remove unnecessary  stuff(ya'll dont need sandbags in your trunk during summer!!!)

-fill gas in morning(less vapours so you get more for your money)

  3. -not driving an suv for starters

    -carpooling

    -not using a/c

    -walking

-not having a "lead foot" (basically dont accelerate a lot)

  4. Don't use it as much - if you can walk it and it is within 2 miles of you try to walk - only use your care if your leaving the area around your home if you live in a big city but if you live in a small city just use it when you go out of town. That's what I do.

  5. Don't buy an SUV.

For God's sake, don't buy an SUV!!

  6. Avoid hard acceleration and harsh braking. Smooth and gentle is the way to go. If you're driving at speed, keep below 60 mph, above this speed you burn proportionally more gas for speed as wind resistance increases.

  7. Stay at a consistant speed on the highway- around 55- 60 MPH is best gas milelage.  gently ease gas pedal to take off and release the accelerator to let engine slow you down.  most energy used in taking off from stop, but also sudden stopping.  take the most direct route- if you are going to the mall then park on the closest side and walk.  run errands on the way to and from work- don't go out of your way.  lighten the load- filling the tank half full twice a week instead of a full tank once, then you aren't carrying extra weight- same goes for extra stuff in the trunk, clean it out.  run as many errands as possible as one time. don't make many short trips over and over.

  8. Don't start and stop quickly. Also don't buy a hybrid. They in fact do not get better gas mileage then some standard cars. Also not only will you pay more for a hybrid, what they don't tell you is the battery will only last 5-7 years and will need to be replaced for the astronomical cost of about $6,000.

  9. Drive a bit slower, windows up, ac on if needed. Keep your foot light on the gas. Bike to close places that you usually drive too. The gas prices suck I know. I think all of America should boycott gas companies for one day a week till they lower prices to a reasonable cost.

  10. use it only when u need to. if u stop at a gas station or something, turn off the engine. dont use ac, roll the window down. dont leave the car running too  long, dont speed up then slow down.

  11. don't speed up and stop suddenly (heavy foot). buy a hybrid. carpool, it helps save money.

  12. getting the gas out of your tank, a hose and a pump, conserving gas, a bicycle

  13. only making trips you absolutely need to make. thats what im doing. where im at now gas is at $3.59 a gallon.

  14. Keep excessive speeds down.

    No sudden starts, revving up.

    Car pool.

Do not drive every day for errands.....do all errands in one day.

    Take public transportation when available.

  15. make sure u have good oil, right tire pressure, not a big load, and take the shortest root. carpool, hybrid

  16. Fill up in the mornings....the gas will be less expanded and thus you will get more bang for the buck.
