Ideas for constructing a small boat - can use any materials i want..HELP!?

Question

I have to make a boat for a school assigment. It can be made out of anything eg. Cardboard, Felt, sticks... ANYTHING. it just has to look like a boat. Doesnt need to float. Can't be a 5 minute thing. has to take a bit of effort..

How can i make one?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

try fiber glass (or i think it is)

this stuff comes in a can as a powdery substance, you need to add water to it and it hardens.

so all you need to do is, make a mould (out of clay, or anything you like) pour the mixture in the mould, let the thing harden and you can make any shape you like.

a painted piece of air dry clay shaped like a boat.

k'nex frame, use paper for the hull.

a pie tin, 2 paper towel rolls, 2 toilet paper tubes, masking tape= starSHIP enterprise!

make a boat then put a huge hole in it--French navy!

glue some popsicle sticks together. burn it and bring it in as the spanish armada

use popsicle sticks, pencils (or dowel rod) and floss to make a raft like odyseus.

get a steak n shake hat, color it brown, cut out yellow circle for shiels, cut out a dragon for the prow, and use popsicle sicks for oars--viking ship

make a kayak out of a banana.

bring in a home made submarine sandwich and put a periscope on it!!

Paper mache

(pva glue paper)

You can shape it using straws or thick cardboard bent into shape and taped.  Cover in paper mache, leave to dry then paint.

Use whatever you find, empty toilet roll tubes, straws, bits of broken things.
