  1. Toddlers: Playing outside, swinging on the swing set, playing at the park, swimming in the kiddie-pool.

School-aged girls: Crafts, creating a "dance routine" for her favorite song (and performing it when the parents come home), playing at the park, riding bikes, working with simple recipes in the kitchen (teaching them kitchen safety!), playing with play-dough, water colors, etc.

School-aged boys: Pretending to be a super hero, making costumes, playing with match-box cars, crafts, riding bikes, playing at the park or on the back yard swing set, playing wit h play dough, making a "fort" out of bedsheets, etc.

All children enjoy activities such as these, but the best thing is when they are happy and loved.

There are lots of websites out there to help with craft ideas, games, and more.

Do a google search and tons of ideas will be presented to you.

    Have fun babysitting!

  2. I don't know if you babysit them often, but i worked at a daycare and every week (in the summertime) we had a different theme, the kids loved it!  Jungle, 80's, and other fun things.  We did crafts going along the theme, and field trips too!  If you can take them to different places, the backyard will be good enough.  And i LOVED sprinklers when i was a kid!

  3. Well i would depending on age do something like water guns in the back yard. Slip the kids into their bathingsuits and give them some water guns or hook up a sprinkler. Because if their too young the pool might be too much and they'll love the sprinkler. If inside maybe you could do a craft or something like making picture frames for their parents or even practicing their numbers and letters.

    Hope I helped :)
