Ideas for group games for 5-7 year olds?

I'm looking for fun ideas for games that can be played with 15-20 kids. They're going into first and second grade this fall. As a group they're very bright and a bit chatty. Simple rules and easy set up are important. Ideas from teachers would be great. Thanks!

  1. I used to do YMCA after school activities for kids from 5-8, and we did alot of dodge ball and flag tag ( 3 flags, have to protect them, almost like soccer and trying to get them down field)

  2. If you have even number of kids , have them play relay games.

put kids back to back and link arms, put small ball between their backs and have them walk as quickly as possible to the next couple across the room.then switch it over..if they drop the ball they have to start over..be sure to laugh and make it enjoyable if they mess up..It's learning co operation skills that matter. You can also do a treasure hunt with pictures if some of the kids don't read.. My son loved carrying an egg in a spoon to his partner across the room..We used Easter eggs filled with confetti so it wasn't as messy.

  3. finger panting and arts and crafts is always good or maybe ring around the rossie idk
