Question:

Ideas for hotel suite party?

We want to have an "after party" after our wedding. We are having a dinner only reception, so we want to party with our friends that night. The ceremony is asian flair... cherry blossom decor... what ideas do you have for speciality drinks, decorating the suite, music, etc.

Or should we get a limo and rent a room at a club instead?

ANY ideas appreciated!

  1. Strippers are always a nice idea!

  2. Good day,

After party, continue the theme w/ cherry blossoms and what about kimonos for everyone to slip into, buy at resale shops  and let them keep. If you are serving drinks, couple hours into it have hotel deliver breakfest or munches. Perhaps you can block a few rooms so your drinking guest don't drive. Have a great wedding

  3. ok. try looking at these:

  4. You have two things to contend with when doing something like this.  First, the amount of people, and the type of crowd you anticipate having. If it’s a hard partying group, and your main concern is to party, then you should opt for the club room, and spare yourself the wear and tear (and possible problems) on a hotel room. If it’s going to be a more intimate, close knit gathering, where you’d like a “reception-like” atmosphere, then a suite would be suitable.. You could ask for some additional seating, or a sitting room, and decorate it inexpensively with fans, ribbon, etc., without having to sink a lot of money for décor.

Tell the hotel what your intentions are, and ask what they have in the way of a table for a bar, ice buckets, and other things you may need. Since it’s your wedding you should be able to get a good deal on some of those items. As for the cherry blossoms and such, they can also  be purchased inexpensively.

If you’re going to a club room, you can still do some decorating, but be careful - to much can become a different use situation, meaning they may want to charge extra for attaching/hanging/decorating the room. You also have to consider the alcohol and food situation. Particularly the alcohol situation if you go too a club. Sit down and make out a list a proposed list for both scenarios and make sure to ask as many questions as possible, and try to get as much as possible for your money. Good Luck.
