I am NISA Level 5 (Don't know USA equivelent). I am 15 years old and I do axel, double salchow, toe and loop plus flying camel and jump sit and death drop. I need a piece of music 2mins +-5secs (but i am quite happy to cut it down so any length really).

I want a jazzy/ showy piece of music (similar to sing, sing, sing) but it has to be instrumental.

Has anyone got any suggestions please?!!

HELP ME!!!!!

  1. How about "Miserlou" by d**k Dale & His Del-Tones?

Also, there is a song on John Berry's "Goldfinger" soundtrack called "Alpine Drive / Auric's Factory" that is a particularly pleasant variation of the "Goldfinger" theme. (Trust me - you'll know when and where to edit) It may not be particularly "booming" per se - but you can't beat it for "cool factor" - and, you know the boys will be impressed... maybe the judges, too.

  2. I recommend "I Got Rhythm" by George Gershwin.

  3. go to i-tunes and search big bad voodoo daddy they have lots of modern swing songs that you can cut up

avoid "zoot suit"...every skater has tried a routine to that song and it's so overdone aswell as being too bouncy, you'll be too worn out to get in all of your jumps

  4. here are other songs from the swing era:

The Swing Era has left behind a lot of recordings that are now classics. Some of those are:

        * "Sing, Sing, Sing" by Louis Prima

        * "Begin the Beguine" by Artie Shaw

        * "Tuxedo Junction" by Glenn Miller

        * "Jersey Bounce" by Benny Goodman

        * "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)" by Duke Ellington

        * "Body and Soul" by Coleman Hawkins

        * "In the Mood" by Glenn Miller

        * "Song of India" by Tommy Dorsey

        * "Jumpin' at the Woodside" by Count Basie

        * "Stardust", which has been recorded by everyone from Armstrong, to Miller to Shaw.

        * "Cherokee" by Charlie Barnet

        * "I Can't Get Started" by Bunny Berigan

  5. You can try going to www.skatemusiclist.com and www.sk8tunes.com and try finding a piece of music that you enjoy and feel like you can skate to and can make appeal to the judges. Good luck!
