Question:

Ideas for indoor team activities

We have a 3 hour outdoor treasure hunt planned for an office event. We're worried that the weather will be bad, so need a contingency plan.

There will be 10 teams of 10 people looking for team activities. Each team will have a camcorder and a digital still camera.

The alternative needs to be something that doesn't take a lot of planning or use much equipment because obviously we don't want to put too much effort into something that might not happen!

Must be fun, entertaining and something that people actually want to do!

  1. What about the ladders game? Split each team into two sub teams of 5 (or join 2 teams together and have 2 sub teams of 10).

Both teams sit across from each other with their legs stretched out and feet touching and them boom the game starts. The pair at the bottom or top have to run to the other end of the row of colleagues and then run over the legs and then sit back down. As soon as the first of the pair is back seated the next pair goes. And so on...

  2. A few wii consoles cud do the trick, loads of fun and excercise at the same time.

  3. maybe a tournament concisting of a few different games. if you split the teams in half then 10 teams of 5 could (for example) play 5-a-side football against the other 9 teams, whilst the other 10 teams of 5 do the same with volleyball.

you could do this but split the teams up into even smaller sub teams, the principle is the same:

not only do you have to work as a team in your match but for success you have to really on others who have speciallities in things you can't have an input on.
