Ideas for karaoke party?

I'm not very good at throwing parties so I thought I'd ask for ideas.This summer I am planning on having a big karaoke party- HOPEFULLY! We will be hooking my playstation game, Karaoke Revolution into the big screen tv and having fun with that. Also Everyone is coming in costume as their favorite singer. I think this could become a lot of fun and I was wondering if anyone had ideas about different party foods, decorations or games we could play that would fit with the sort of musician/celebrity theme. We will be hanging out inside, on the back porch and yard as well. Thanks!

well you can do an american idol thing or something as a game, kinda corny but whatever. streamers, pictures of favorite singers. and at a local party store you can get blow up microphones and guitars with like fake records that you could hang up. also look on google for different sites to purchase things. I had a karaoke/ martini night it was kinda funny. But for food you should have like little orderves/ appetizers then like pizza or something. then get like  carvel cake that says i heart karaoke.  I hope his helps.

The Next American "Karaoke" Idol.  Have a trophy or get a picture frame and make an award inside the frame for 1st place and then smaller ones for 2nd, & 3rd place.  Have judges and the audience gets to vote, so have ballots ready for people to vote.

Food ideas - something a little fancy maybe like:

~ Shrimp cocktail,

~ Asparagus wrapped pruscioto

~ Hummus & pita chips

~ Fruit skewers w/yogurt & whipped cream dip

~ Grilled veggies - peppers, squash, etc. chill and serve with some type of dip

~ Gourmet burgers - something specific.  Could be sliders with caramelized onions and diced green chilies. (see source at end for a link to a great grilled cheddar burger)

~ Veggie chips (find at trader joes, sprouts, whole foods, world market)

~ Chocolate Cake - like a sheet cake

~ Cookies - gourmet of some sort
