My daughter is away at summer camp this week. Does anyone have any suggestions of little special 'somethings' I can include in her letters each week? They can't have candy or anything to eat. Thanks!

  1. Include an adress book for her to get info. to contact her camp friends. A pillow case/camp tshirt or something for the other girls to sign will always let her remember her trip. Don't forget the marker to do it with! The pillow case can double as something to hold her laundry. Another thing the girls like to get is a kit to make friendship braclets or other crafty things. An extra camera, socks, flashlight batteries, day pack are always needed!! Make sure she also has stamps/envolopes/ letter head/addresses to write to you or grandparents! She and her cabin mates would also appresiate the latest magazines she likes. Hope it helps!!

  2. mail her a photo album for her memories or make her some coupons for when she comes home like "girls night" movie night, etc

  3. I would try some cute colorful stickers and very poesitive things.

  4. Try putting some cool-shaped little confetti in the envelope with the letters.  That will brighten her day.  Be sure to put it in the bottom of the envelope and not in the folds of the letter so that it doesn't fall out all over her and the floor - lol.

I do that for my husband  when he's out to sea (he's in the Navy), and he says that the colors and thought put into it really  brighten his day.  :)
