  1. Prom themed? Doesn't really matter what age you are, it's always fun. So everyone comes in formal wear, dresses and tuxes. You don't need dates, because you're all friends. Just dance with anyone. xD

You can have it anywhere. If it's just a small party, do it in your basement or at your house. Outdoors would be awesome. Another, but more pricey idea is renting a hall. Usually in community halls or hotels.

For a professional looking backdrop (perfect for photos), get a white or solid coloured and get a whole bunch of helium balloons. Stick with a coloured theme, such as red and orange, etc.

In the bathroom, put in some makeup. Neutral eyeshadows, mascara, eye liner, lipstick, and some Q Tips. Perfect for touch ups!

Decorations should stick with the colour theme. Get some cheap chandeliers and hang them up where ever you're having this party. Some shiny, marble-like flower pots with pretty flowers. Balloons, ni clusters just anywhere. To add a punch, rent/buy a rug that goes with the theme colours. If you don't want to buy new furniture, I mean, who does....just buy some cheap, matching, fabric from somewhere like Wal Mart and cover the furniture.

Foods can be sit-down foods. Have tables for a fancy dinner where everyone sits down for the last meal. Steak, pasta, stews, soups, kabobs, veggie platters, etc.

If you want to have this outside on your patio or deck, have it during the evening. Get some laterns for a beautiful glow!

Since it's a surprise party, you need to somehow get them there.

Community Hall: Say it's for seniors, or for a volenteer thing.

Your House: Just say you're hanging out.

    GOOD LUCK!
