  1. hey! I also had to do a project on autism, but it was a poster. I included the signs and symptoms, prevention, treatment, statistics, and the cause. Those are the basic things that you should include in your paper. hope i helped

  5. That it's a spectrum disorder - not all autistic people are mute, unresponsive, or locked in their own world. There are many "high-functioning" autistics who speak (often in a strangely pedantic manner), who make friends, get married, have families... just aren't as socially able and who think differently.

    That autistic people have personalities, and that they're not all exactly the same. Some are friendly, some are more withdrawn (although being withdrawn is a symptom, some people will watch people while others will hide in a room without people, for example). Some have bad tempers, others are mild-mannered. Traits are expressed differently, especially in more severe cases where the person IS mute, unresponsive etcetera.
