Any ideas for places to visit in Barcelona, Spain, other than the normal tourist meccas? I will be there for two weeks and traveling to multiple cities within Spain.

  1. I have been there a couple of times. Its a very interesting city with lots to see. Lots of good and bad gypsies, pick-pockets so be careful. I took a 10hour ferry to Menorca and really enjoyed it there. Seville is another beautiful city. Costa del sol is nice too. You must take a trip to Gibraltar, its really nice and a lot of history there. Have a good trip.

  2. i am going to focus on day trips.  easy trips to see the countryside via the train.

Sitges is a fun beach city with clubs.

    Tarragona - awesome Roman ruins.

Girona - walled city.  beautiful Jewish quarter.

Montserrat -  cool church built into the side of a mountain.  take the funicular to the top!

Figueres - Gaudi museum is a must see.

  3. the tourist buses are the best..

dont forget to walk around the La ramblas..

and get somhow out to the FORUM - place... maybe ther will be some great events now too. summer time threre are always!

it is a big big place near the seaside on north part....

  4. Beyond the touristic place, Eixample area and bay area in Barcelona are worth to visit too. Plus, Don't forget to check the night life there.

If you have enough time, go to Toledo, Seville or Granada. They are also great city!!
