Ideas for running a unique daycare?

Question

We were thinking about writing up a business plan for a daycare. infants-12 yrs old. 24 hrs. we need all types of ideas from different programs to security to building design. Everything is helpful at this point.

For the older kids some kind of financial education would be amazing!  Let's face it no one teaches them how to handle money anymore.  Also simple cooking classes.  What ever happened to Home Ec?

for me the main mission that i have is to see things through the eyes of a child...that encompasses everything from a home environment, nurturing, understanding kids learn and go at their own pace...respect ect...good luck and enjoy!

I have always thought that a daycare for 2 and under would be a great thing. And 24/7 even better. You see, under 2  care  is really hard to find. Most daycare want them potty trained. Think of all the problems with older kids. Under 2 mainly  just eat and sleep and they are easily amused. Yes diaper changes come with the territory , but like everything else , it's a trade off. Kids are very playful. For boys play pirate with them and also they are very messy so art too. For girls tea parties, art, dolls, housee :)

Let the children be creative!! Have lots of art supplies out for them to use!!

Cook with them (simple things, of course)

Take them outside to play often

.

My daycare uses Creative Curriculum. It is very open and easy to use!! Look into that. Or into a Montessori School. Both teach children responsibility and life skills while having fun!!
