I want to have a photo booth at my candy shop sweet 16 party, but I don't know what to have in it. I am on a budget so I need realistic ideas. I also need ideas for songs having to do with candy. Not all the songs at the party will be like that, but i thought it would be fun to throw a few in there.

  1. Candy Shop- 50cent

Tootsie Roll (idk who it's by)

    Sweet Escape- Gwen Stefani

Laffy Taffy (Idk who it's by again sry)

and get them blown up and printed poster sized at kinkos (only should cost a couple dollars) and stick a couple of real candy's on it as your photo background.  I think that would be really cute!!! Also, put different colored balloons in the pic, thye'd look kinda like lollipops.  I think thats a really cool Idea, and that would be really cute!!!

Good Luck w/ your party and have fun

    and happy birthday!!

  4. I think it was Johnny Burnette who recorded "Happy Birthday Sweet 16" ......or maybe he was the one who recorded "You're 16, You're Beautiful and You're Mine":) ..........Candy Man ......  You can get shiny metallic Christmas balls and put clear cellophane around them & tie at each end for giant hard candy ;  make peppermint sticks by wrapping red & white crepe paper around the cardboard tubes inside of paper towels ;   Maybe make big cardboard Gingerbread figures, with a hole cut out in the face, for your guests to stick their head into and have their photos taken

  5. Big lollipops, red lace liquorice, candy necklaces, gummy rings, bubble gum

    Songs;

I want candy - Mel C or Aaron Carter or Good Charlotte

Sugar, honey honey - The Archies or Aaron Carter

Lollipop - Chordettes or Lil Wayne or Mika

Sugar pie honey bunch - the temptations

    Anything by Hot Chocolate

also if you made like an oversize candy shop...take a clear garbage bag, stuff it full of balloons for jelly beans, wrap some round throw pillows in colored cellophane and tie either end with wrapping ribbon, paint some wrapping paper tubes with white and red stripes, paint paper plates like skittles, make a rainbow on the wall.

Recently, candy has been as big a theme as ever in music. Christina Aguilera had a big hit in 2006 with the song "Candyman." Madonna's forthcoming 2008 album is titled Hard Candy. Rihanna had a song on her latest album called "Sell Me Candy."

Some artists even reference certain brands of candy. In the 1970s, singer Mtume had the hit song "Juicy Fruit," which of course was later sampled in the Notorious B.I.G. song "Juicy" (considered one of the greatest rap songs ever made). This trend of naming specific brands of candy continued until today. The most recent example is the Lil Wayne song, "Lollipop."

    candy theme ideas:

Candy theme: Pink tablecloths, pink and white balloons. Make candy bouquets for the tables with short wide mouth vase from the dollar store. Fill 1/3 with peppermint disks. Buy colorful lollipops and put in the vase. Make another one t he same but use candy sticks instead like cherry, lime, etc. You can attach bows to each one with a favor card that says your initial, 16 or thanks for coming to my sweet 16 and then after the party give them out as favors. Get personalized M and Ms to put in small favor bags. Get personalized hershey bar wrappers and little personalized stickers that go on the bottom of hershey's kisses. Buy plate size styrofoam 3 inch thick rounds and wrap in clear cellophane for a big hard candy decorations. you could put a wood dowel in one to make it a sucker. Play twister. For favors those candy necklaces, bracelets ands ring pops and candy lipsticks.  They sell inflatable lollipops at Windy City Novelities. Buy a sweet 16 plastic sucker mold.  We got 1 for 2.50 on Ebay.  We bought 3 bags of colored chocolate at the craft store and 1.50 each and made 27 lolliopops out of that.  A bag of 100 lolly bags and ties is 1.99.  It was so easy to make.
