Hi everyone

My two best friends of 10 years or more can not be my bridesmaids at my wedding for particular private reasons (health issues)

One is happy to do a reading and the other is very creative and has a degree in an Art related course...so I have asked her to handmake my decorations which she was delighted and it will cost less as we are all students

reception is no problem however in our Church there are no pews, just movable chairs (It basically a hall used as a church)

What decorations could be made to make my little church look dreamy? I love pretty things like bows and pearls but we cant do pew decorations, I'm really stuck :(

My friend has suggested candles in laterns, anym more ideas (that possibly can be hand made or cheap things that my friend can glam up)

  1. You could always decorate each chair with a ribbon/bow like this.

Are you using an aisle runner? If so, you could decorate the edges of it with pearls, or, just line the walkway/aisle with the lanters (make sure the flames are completely covered as you do not wnat your dress catching on fire !)

  2. Is there anyway to attatch a Dowel to the Aisle chair(s) possibly with wire?  If so, you could attatch a small floral bouquet  and ribbons to each row of chairs lining your "Bridal aisle"

  3. Check out Martha Stewarts website. She has some pretty good ideas. And some of them are really inexpensive, like creative ways of using paper and things...

  4. Tulle bows on the backs of the chairs? Maybe just the aisle ones if money is a problem.

Check out the rental stores, my friend found some  light standards in white that she put on the aisle, they did not cost much to rent. Candelabras can be decorated with bows and pearls and lengths of flowers.

Make an arbor for the minister and you to stand in front of. These you can rent, or make. Even a piece of garden lattice fencing or a board, painted and decorated as a backdrop would be pretty.
