  1. I love to lightly roast them and add them to everything!! Sandwiches, sprinkled over pasta, salads, in baking, by themselves... (I add pumpkin seeds to the mix as well because they are a great source of iron).

My all time favourite use involves a New Zealand yeast spread called marmite: sunflower seeds and marmite sandwiches are divine :D

  2. There are a lot of salad recipes that include sunflower seeds. Here is one of my favorite salad recipes (though I prefer it with bacon) :

1 x         Bunch chopped broccoli - (some stems)

    1 x         Small onion - chopped

1 cup Sunflower seeds - roasted

    1/2 cup Raisins

    1/2 cup Mayonnaise

    1/2 cup Sugar

    2 Tblsps Vinegar

Prepare the dressing by combining mayonnaise, sugar, and lemon juice. Add dressing to other ingredients just before serving

  3. Sitting at Pac Bell Park watching the Giants :D

... or a little league game.

I have only eaten them in salad or plain.

  4. My mother was from Russia, where sunflower seeds are a big favorite snack. She could take a handful of them, put them in her mouth, and using just her teeth and tongue, separate the meats from the shells, spit out the shells, and eat the meats.

    I never even got close.

  5. Plain or in salads

  6. I eat them with the shells on. I dunno, for some reason I really like the shells. XD

  7. on a pizza. here's an idea of a pizza with sunflower seeds on them.
