I need ideas of random little things I can sew to make..

I already made pillows and a purse, but I just don't know anything else to sew!!!

I am a beginning sewer teenager...if that helps!!

Also if you have any idea on how to sew like one of those patchwork madras(i think thats what they're called)totes/purses (without the patchwork-1 solid color) please suggest!!!

Thanks everyone!!!

  1. Go to your local art supplies store and look at all the fabrics they have. If I were you I would sew a scarf!

  2. you could always download the free software for printing patterns for bags/hats etc at www.wildginger.com  it's called wildthings

it's free so it's worth looking and it may give you some ideas

  3. Have you looked through the pattern books at your local fabric store? They have hundreds of cute patterns just waiting for you. You can also pick out patterns online and then go to the store to buy the ones you like - it will be a lot cheaper than buying online. Here are some bags.

  5. Search for sewing guilds in your google search browser. You can get many ideas from them.

I don't think you can sew a patchwork without patchworking, unless you get your textile material with its own patchwork designed on it.

You can also try sewing scarves for your friends and relatives. That's a good practice for hemming using the hemmer foot on your sewing machine.
