Ideas what to do with my kids on this rainy day????

we had plans to do a zoo today and then the balloonfest............the weather doesnt look like its gonna be our friend today

any ideas what to do with my kids indoors today? 11, 8, 3, ......i live in brooklyn, not more then an hour away

I like the cooking idea.

You could all snuggle up and watch a movie at home.

You could go out to eat? Maybe a kid friendly place.

well you could play a board came or play some games on the computer or just watchs a nice movie and just relax for the day :D

hide and seek, charades, board games, build a card house, painting party, indoor picnic (roast marshmellows over a candle), read, bake cookies, use playdoh, build with legos...

if you want to go somewhere try bowling, or indoor mini golf if you have one.

Why not try cooking with them? You can make cakes or cookies, and let them decorate them.

Or you could make something a bit more healthy but still fun for them (will be alot of ideas on the internet).

Or you could take them swimming, bowling, to the cinema....

We have 4 kids and the spacing is about the same, and have been there, The cooking together is a good suggestion for the older two, give the 3 year old a pot with a mismatched lid (too big) and some wooden spoons while you make cookies with the other 2. Paper mache is easy, Flour water and newspaper, and poster paints (washable) and let them make a mess. Then they can clean it up. Keep them busy for hours (the cleaning part).
