Does anyone know what kind of identification my neice would need (she is 3) she is flying with her grandma (my mom) out to see me. So her mom wont be at the airport with them when they board. If anyone has any idea please let me know so I can tell my mom.

Thank you! :)

  1. Have your mom call the airlines and ask.  So much stuff changes from month to month, that it's better to talk to those who know.

  2. Check with the airlines, as another poster said.

These aren't a bad idea either.

  3. Just have mom get a note from the mother of the niece and tell  what she is doing and all so a medical release. That should take care of it.

  4. Best to call the airline with this question.  They'll have the only accurate answer.

    Good luck.

  5. She should have a birth certificate and a note signed by both custodial parents that it is okay for her to go with Grandma.  If she is leaving the country, she'll also need a passport.

  6. My daughter flew with my parents to california last summer.  We had to have her birth certificate and a notorized letter from her father and I saying we had given permission and they had the right to seek medical treatment.  When your mom and sister go to get the airline ticket they will tell her exactly what it is they require but those two need to be done.  Also tell your sister to send copies of insurance cards with her just in case something would happen and they would be needed.
