Identification of unknown substance?

If there are four unknowns (a haloalkane, alkanone, alkanol and alkanoic acid) if they are each reacted with water what will happen for each different reaction eg. the changes which can be observed.

  1. A haloalkane is more dense that water and does not dissolve in water, and does not react with water.

    An Alkanone OR ketone is soluble in water.

    An Alkanol OR Alchol is miscible in Water. It does not fully dissolve.

    An Alkanoic Acid or Carboxilic acid is also miscible in water. It does not fully dissolve
