These 4 aircraft were flying a 15 minute display, loops, smoke, turns, stall turns... All very impressive.

What I want to know is... What are they, as in, name of the aircraft please.

I'm sorry my previous question was a little un-clear, and thanks for the answers so far.

Pictures are at :

  1. Those are NOT T6s, for one thing the gear is down.  For another the leading edge is straight as opposed to swept back on the outer wing panels, the engine cowling is not big and round for the 1340, etc.  The tail surfaces are wrong, etc.  The smoke is coming from under the cowling as opposed to out the right side, over the wing where smoke from a T6 would come from.

They are some form of civilian acro aircraft, but the picture is a little too fuzzy to identify precisely.

  2. I also saw them over Hatfield. It was actually over the Birchwood playing field as thats where i was and they where doing the stunts over me head and as you say they where very good, but im sorry i cant tell you why they where there as neither me or my family could work that out.

There are no special events at Hatfield House, Brocket Hall or Knebworth.

Its a mistery, but a very entertaining mistery.

  3. They are the Royal Jordanian Falcons, the aerobatic demonstration team of Jordan.Aircraft are Walter extra EA300s,which the team have flown since 1992.

  4. I think Woodie has it because they look like Extra 300's to me.

  5. Sorry, I can't tell from the photos. I wish I were there to hear them, and view them better.........

    Good Luck

  6. Probably a type of Cessna, or a Piper J. It's not a Texas yada yada, because if you look at the photo of the Texas thingamahoo plane, the wings are on the very bottom, if you look closely at the group of planes in the other photo, the wings are in the middle or the top of the planes because the about a 1/2 or 3/4 on the cockpit and fuselage are shown underneath the plane. (I have very sharp eyes (Not literally)

  7. T6 Texans.
