Identify this plant?

Hi

My family recently moved, and in our backyard, I saw a plant, so I went over to it and began pulls leaves off it to look at it. The leaves had the same texture as a clover, but were definently not. When I pulled off the leaves or broke a stem, a white goo came out and it looked EXACTLY like paste. Also, the white paste-looking stuff was a little sticky. Right now, its very small and a little above ankle height. I just want to know what it is, and if its bad for my dogs

Thanks!

  1. Milky sap could be many things. Two that come to mind right away are milk weed and dandelions, but they are not like clover.
