My sister is bi and is planning to go to France in feb. The woman she plans to visit is her cybering GF. My sister on has a few pic of the woman. No phone number, no address, not even a cam session. This woman says she tries to call us but the phone call won't go through. sounds like BS..My sister plans to go for two weeks and stay with this woman. I have the woman name and the fact she is suppose to be going to law school in Paris. What do you think? Is it possible to do a identity check on her?

  1. How can she be going to stay with someone whose address she does not know? That's insane.

The law school is called the Faculté de droit de Paris and is located at 12 Place du Panthéon in the 5th arrondissement. The phone number is 01 44 41 57 00. Have someone who speaks French call as I'm sure you'll have to do a lot of explaining to get to someone who will help you.

  2. Your sister is very likely going to get hurt.  Sounds fishy to me, too.

Cyber dating is just like the personal ads were fifteen years ago, only scarier.  Tell her to stay in a proper hotel, and if she does meet this woman to do so in a VERY public place.  And keep it public at all times.

  3. Try searching for this person's phone number. Enter the last name in the Nom box, the first name in the Prénom box, and the name of the city in the Localité box. If the number is not unlisted, you should get the phone number and the address.

  4. Your sister is crazy.

This women is a con artist.

Please do everything you can to prevent your sister from going.

No phone, no address... r u crazy.

You may never see your sister again if she goes over there.

As far as identity checks.. you would need more information about her to get interpol involved.

  5. ok here is a very simple way to find out who and where this person lives...... tell your sister to ask this woman for a home number......not cell number but HOME NUMBER. with it, you can do a phone search on the FRANCE TELECOM white pages and find out where she lives. if her lover says that she hasnt got one home phone then you should start worrying.....also if your sister will stay there then ask the lover to send the address of the flat where your sister will be staying....it sounds like a scam and i hate to see what the surprise gonna be when your sister gets there.in these day and age, its very easy for idiots to pretend to be someone they are not , or even worse. if the lover doesnt have a webcam, she can go to one of the many internet cafes around paris.  there are many things you can do prior to her leaving to France.... google the email address that her lover uses, the profile name that she uses, her telephone number (if she has one) etc.......2 times out of three you can dig up information by just googling my advice would be to be VERY CAREFUL. one scam that i heard about was for someone to be ripped off overseas by a stranger that they met online, she was robbed of everything she had by her online acquaintance on the way from the airport (obviously they knew that the person had money and valuables)

also, its god if your sister lies about the fact that she wouldnt be alone and that she knows someone in Paris that will meet her at the airport and take her to the place where she will stay...so that her lover believes that someone else will be with your sister at her arrival in France and at their first meeting.

    bonne chance!!!!!
