Identity theft?! is there anyway i can find out!?

ok well i found out that a friend well not EX friend of mine has been stealing social security numbers and buying things. and one time i did give mine out cause i needed to see if i could get a car and he was there and idk if he was listening or wrote it down but i didnt thnk of it till now when i found out what he was up to. well now im worried and i want to know a good website to show what i OWN (like what car i own or whatever) and credit cards. help please!

  1. Go to www.annualcreditreport.com is total free. Order from all three agencies and go over then very carefully to see if anything that you did NOT applied.


  2. Go to freecreditreport.com asap! Check your credit, and if anything looks fishy or things that aren't yours on there, then you will know. It costs $1. Its not free lol. It is a completly legitiment website though, and its worth it so it doesn't mess up your credit. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, they have to take it off your credit report if it was fraud, but it has to be reported through the police (which you said it already was, but you need a police report on your specific case if he did steal your identity).
