  1. Cats are pretty hard wired to know how to do things, so you shouldn't have too many problems.  If it is a female cat, it might have problems raising a litter of kittens since it didn't recieve a lot of its mother's love.

Example of hard wired stuff, your cat probably washes himself in the following method, first, l**k paw and wipe face, start at shoulder and go down body, and end at the tail.

  2. Cute little guy. Things moms teach kittens are how and when to use their claws, where it hurts to bite and get bitten, how to find food, litter box etiquette, just basically how to be a civilized cat. If your kitten isn't biting during play and doesn't run and hide from you, he should be ok.  Get regular vet checks and feed only high quality kitten food for weight gain and maintenance. Ask all the questions you need to and we'll help where we can.

  3. You should work on your writing.  It is not real good (sorry but true), but not a stupid question.

If I get what you are asking, your cat will instinctively know everything it needs to know about being a cat.

  4. Good for you for wanting to help the poor little baby.  Feed him plenty of kitten food (it is richer in calories than adult cat food) and you can give him kitten formula as a supplement.  (It is easily found in stores these days – never give it regular milk and it will get an upset stomach.)

Place him in a shallow litter pan (a box lid is good) after he eats, he will figure that out really quickly.  Right now a full size litter box is probably too big for him to climb into.

Otherwise, just keep him warm and give him lots of cuddling (to help get him socialized) and make sure a vet gives him a checkup as soon as possible (he may have worms, which would also explain why he is underweight).   A vet can also help you determine his age.

You care so much about him, I know you will do a terrific job and he will turn out just fine.  He’s lucky to have you!
