Idta ballet exams: What age?

I have been dancing ballet for 8 years (I turned 14 this year) and i have been taking Idta exams every year. Right now i'm studying grade 8 and 2nd gold bar. Does anyone know what age you should be to study the different grades (or how many years of dance)? And am i an

Intermediate?

  1.  hey is it possibel for 13 year olds goes ballet ???? i though they'r bones are hard and stiff by then....

    Classical Ballet Award 1
    Intermediate
    Classical Ballet Award 2
    Advanced 1
    Advanced 2

  3. IDTA Ballet
    Preparatory min age 4
    Primary min age 5
    Grade 1-6 min age 7
    Classical award 1 and 2 min age 12

    As far as I am aware IDTA does not have a Grade 8 Ballet, but it has the the two classical awards which come after grade 6.

    Intermediate is the first of the performers exams so if you are following the intermediate syllabi in class you are in intermediate.
