If 'See Hum' is Kerang in Bahasa Malaysia then what is 'See Hum' in English?

Last night, I had some Char Koey Teoh from this stall in Brickfields and this was a question that my friends and I weren't able to solve! We know it as Kerang or See Hum but what is it called in English!

all the answers are correct. its called Cockles. I love frying them (fresh ones with shell) with mashed garlic and mashed green chillies with very little oil. Yummy..

It's called cockles, as many of the above have already pointed out. But don't worry if you don't know what it is in English. Nobody says "I want cockle koey toeh!"
