If 'alien life' does exist on Mars, what form will it be in?

We are a carbon-based lifeform, a large percentage of H2O, and a smattering of some complex chemicals. An alien lifeform could be silicone-based, for example, or acid-based, or even an unheard-of type of substance. Our knowledge is based on what we know now. What effect would this discovery have on our lives in general?

i have no true evidence but i don't there's any life on mars or even the rest this galaxy...the alien life lives in other galaxies...they are far more advance than us...so they have the tools necessary to fly through space fast!

But aliens exist...the mayans were actually aliens...no one knew that...that's y they called them the mysterious tribe...they were super smart but they couldn't handle earthly conditions and so they died.

I agree with you that we are applying what we know now and making assumptions based on that. Life may be able to survive without carbon or water or anything like that...just because we haven't seen it doesn't mean it isn't possible.

I think it would look like Joe Pesci, only green and shorter.  Okay, maybe not shorter, but definitely green.

No one can really say what they look like cause of everything that we have already seen on TV/Media, if you have seen the movie called "Signs" made by Mel Gibson, it may have caused the hair to stand on the back of your neck, It's still a mystery to me that almost no one believes these things exist, yet when someone tells about their experiences that they have had, nobody believes them, Thousands of people have came out with it all around the world, and they describe almost the same thing, But yes, I think that acid in their bodies is the equivalent to us having blood in our bodies...lol  Maybe that's a mystery to them as well.
