  1. HOLY c**p!  Someone texts too much.  Plus, this is so not an amusement park question but a relationship one.

'If you were to ask me: Make yourself at home?  (or anyone else) what conduct do you get from them opposed to what you expect of them?'

Well, my lazy *** boyfriend eats food and leaves it laying around for hours expecting someone else to pick up after him instead of cleaning up after himself.

During relaxation time, he hogs the entire couch while leaving my family to sit on smaller chairs or the floor.

He doesn't help with the dishes which he should since he didn't cook.  Or at least take out the trash.

He never asks if we need help instead he just sits on the couch and watch TV or play video games.  It's really insulting/rude to the host, if a person doesn't help out and they lose respect for you.  Because they're not your momma or pop, they're people who enjoy your company and respect you.  But not reciprocating that you become less desirable as a friend.

So basically when someone says "Make yourself at home" it means you are expected to pitch in and to help out in the household instead of just sitting around and watching everyone else do it.  You are expected to ask if they need help even if you know they'll say no.  It's common courtesy.  The polite thing to do.
