not to perfect your self as we cant do that but to practice so much so that your skills are top-notch and you can be the best.

practice cannot make perfect anyway... but just allows you to do your best at it... dont skimp out of practice for that!

You could be perfect at doing one certain thing, hence the reason you would practice it. The "no one is perfect" saying would pertain mostly to being perfect at every single thing. A person is going to have flaws, but there could be something that person can do perfectly.
