  1. For fuvks sake give it a rest.

  2. maybe

  3. Ranking based entirely on total medal is stupid.

    Consider this situation:

    USA       0 gold,  0 silver,  110 bronze = 110 total

    China  100 gold,  0 silver,     0 bronze  = 100 total

Would you still rank usa above china ?

  4. No. Because it's not official. The Chinese and USA are free to debate who the 'winner' of the games is. The rest of the world will move on. The day that both countries bury their egos and concede that no one country 'wins' the Olympic games will be the day that China and the USA can move on also.

  5. "China and the USA have been vying for bragging rights from the 2008 Olympics"

That's not true, USA has always tallied up their medals one way, and no US people are on here are crying about that at all.

anti-American Foreigners cannot accept that someone else does it differently than them and use that as an excuse to immaturely attack America

    That's the jist of it.

Officially, there has never been a winner and all Americans know that, it's widely known, why foreigners care is something only they can answer.
