if 7-11 is open 7 days a week and 365 days a year and 24 hours a day then why do the have locks on there doors

  1. They have to close it if there is something like a power failure.


  2. They were required by the local building codes and regulations.

  3. In case the one person working the overnight shift has to go to the bathroom.

  4. They have locks on their doors mainly for safety. Say they saw a gang that looked dangerous and they had weapons and were heading to their store, so if they wanted to they could lock their door and put a sign saying "Back in 15" and hide behind the counters to avoid any unwanted robberies or fights. Also they do have to close down on holidays or for some other things.

  5. On rare occasions, they do close down!
