  1. Yes

  2. If you are playing 8 ball yes

  3. Yes.

  4. You lose

  5. Not only do you lose, but because you pocketed the object ball and didn't have the ability to control the cue ball, and scratched, you lose, like, twice as much as in a normal loss. Seriously, there are rules published by the American Billiard Congress (ABC) that have been around forever. They have a website and are the rules custodian for all competitive billiard games. If you're playing and don't establish the ground rules before you start, even in "fun" games between friends, then when issues come up, it's whoever yells loudest, or makes up bogus "house rules."

  6. Yes..you lose

  7. Always, no exceptions.

  8. Yes, you do lose. However if you tell the rules ahead of time then you can have this is an okay, but if you don't specify this before you play then yes game over. Now in nine ball if you scratch and make the nine in you have spot the nine and the other player gets ball in hand.

  9. This really depends on where you are and who you are playing with. The you lose if you scratch on the 8 ball, is called "bar rules", these are NOT the real rules in 8 ball. But in bar rules yes you do lose, the reason is most bars use coin opperated tables and it is not worth putting an extra 50 cent or dollar to spot the ball.

  10. Yes, but sometimes house rules will allow for a scratch.

  11. yes. I win all the time against my dad because of this rule. However, I know a lot of people play by different rules. That is why it is important to establish rules before playing.

  12. Yep you lose if that happens.
