If 9/11 happened with the Democrats in office do you think they would have done a better job covering it up?

The Republicans did a pretty shoddy job covering up for whoever did 9/11. I guess the Republicans knew they would have full cooperation media. How well do you think the Democrats would have done to cover up and hide facts about 9/11?

Nothing to cover up? Sounds like it's not the asker who has been hitting the pipe in this case.  Did you know that gullible isn't in the dictionary? What about massive insider trading, evidence of Pakistani and Saudi involvement, multiple ignored warnings, etc. The government has advanced no less than three completely different stories as to why the planes were not intercepted, the first with the FAA doing their job and informing the military in a timely manner, and the most recent with the military receiving no call until it was too late. All of the stories cannot be true, so I think that qualifies as a coverup. What about the numerous 9/11 commission members who have admitted that they were flat-out lied to by the government. Do some research before making yourself look ignorant.

No. I think there would have been a lot more people blowing the whistle. It only seemed to work so well because of so many crooked republicans in office. There probably would have been some kind of real inquiry.

Nahh on second thought they'd have gotten away with it too. Most people believe whatever they wish were true.

If the Government was involved in all the cover-ups that are attributed to it, then no one would have time to govern. Just because a fringe of people want to imagine that John Kennedy was killed by Lyndon Johnson or the mafia, that Bobby Kennedy was killed by Islamic factions, that Martin Luther King was killed by the Government, that our Government attacked itself doesn't mean it's so.

What I love about all the people that claim to be or know Engineer and physicists profs.... They never take into account human structural building flaws. Building flaws introduced by human error.

You use computers... that create a perfect model based on your inputs... In the real world we used humans that may have forgotten a bolt or paid off an inspector to get something through that was below par.

Now Angel... I'm not personally attacking you, but anyone that believes a model, computer or hand build, can mimic a full sized human built structure is in make believe land. I've been in construction long enough to known the plan is just that... a plan. Not always exact.

So if you don't mind... I'll step up to that Fact War you presented to Max50.

How do you "cover up" two enormous building blowing up after being hit by a plane in a over crowded city, and take the two buildings out of one of the most recognizable sky lines in the world?

not to mention the third building that colapsed and the pentagon being hit as well.

Anybody who believes that the towers went down *soley* because of the planes, knows *nothing* about physics.  They're either uneducated or FOX viewers.  Or both.  Those buildings were designed to withstand collisions with one plane each (do research on it's architecture) as well as earthquakes, etc.

Engineers and physicists *all over the world* were dumbfounded at the government's explanation of the towers going down because *it doesn't make sense according to the laws of physics and architecture*.

I'm a student of aerospace engineering and am surrounded by profs who *know* that something must have occurred, either around the base of the towers, or the 8 main 'achillies tendons' that are a part of every highrise structure.  But taking those down would take superheated force to melt or weaken (jet engine fuel doesn't burn hot enough for that).  

Read and understand the facts before taking sides, doesn't matter what political party you were born into.  This was an attack against against America.  America should be united through this, to figure out who commited this massacre.  

Facts people.  Educate yourselves Republicans.

Hi T.J.!  I see that you've accepted my invitation to a 'Fact War'.  I really wanted to battle Max50 on this because he said "conspiracy nuts", and it angers me to see people making fun of others when they don't know anything about the issue themselves.  Otherwise, I don't normally bother with people like him.

So this is how a Fact War works.  It's like a court case, where both parties gather their evidence, send the evidence to each other.  Then the parties are given time to research and form rebuttals to each others' claims.  Finally, we present our cases to each other and either let the audience decide who had the most legit facts, OR we could simply tally the won&lost facts ourselves.  Since this is a political issue, and people take sides just because of what party they belong to, we won't ask the audience to decide for us.

Some of the facts are just impossible to cover up-for instance the way the towers fell could not possibly be as a direct result of the 'plane strike and fire.

So unless Democrats could alter the laws of physics, there would be no way to cover it up.

I don't think 911 was exclusively a Republican or Democratic inside job, as the plans are, extremely likely, to have started in the Democratic admin.
