  1. im not sure but id try to save the doctor

  2. both

  3. It's a hospital, both would be saved.

  4. Usually in an operating theater there are four to eight people so if the surgeon felt unwell, he could instruct someone to replace him or close the patient. If he collapsed suddenly, again there are enough people in the operating room to see to caring for him and keeping the patient stable. Help would be only a phone call away.

What the patient would think, waking up in recovery next to his own surgeon would be a whole 'nother matter.

  5. That is a crazy thought but I if was me being operated on I would hope they would save me. And the doctor if possible both. I'm sure they can get another doctor in right away to help. Also if there is more than one doctor in the room then they can work on you both. Crazy something to think about and make me more worried.

  6. If any doctor became incapacitated for whatever reason, the nurse in the OR would put out a emergency call and you can bet there would be plenty others to help out.  Most docs have partners, anyway.

Probably, the surgical staff would work on keeping things sterile and anesthesia would keep the patient asleep while the surgeon in distress was taken away and a substitute found.

  7. never thought about that before lol

  8. They would try to save both.  Probably saving their colleague first.

  9. You said other doctorS so they can save both.
