an auction of players like the IPL? i'd say the ranking of prices would be up close to what it is in afl dreamteam. so in wwe style:

main eventer: j.brown, g.ablett, n.reiwoldt, l.franklin, d.cox, c.judd, a.goodes, d.kerr, a.mcleod, m.pavlich.

middle carders: p.chapman, a.mcphee, l.gilbee, d.giansiracusa,   s.lucas, b.stanton

lower cards: s.lonergan, m.thomas, k.jack, c.stokes, j.reiwoldt, s.rusling, nj.brown (not because they're duds, there's no such thing they're in the biggest aussie football league they're just new and unproven)

huge are the normal suspects jonathon brown, chris judd and alike it is hard to say as some players rely on the team to do anything (which is better than vice cersa i suppose)

so Buckley, Voss,even Leigh Mathews would have a go

but the Brown one from pineapple land would get top $$$
