  1. Because basically Al Gore and Clinton knew the economics and science around Kyoto were suspect (at least a competent scientist, economist or mathmatician would pointed it out), and there was no political benefit to do anything about it. \

Now that he has tranformed into an eco-evangalist preaching to the masses and making it a political issue, his previous (and current) record is not important, what is important to the converts is that he can talk the talk and use global warming as a boogie man to distact the people of the true political issues.

  2. Global warming is a bunch of crock......a pathetic attempt by jealous third world nations to try to get the USA to cut down on it's progress. If that really happens guess who suffers first...the stupid 3rd world nations because the rich nations then will not be as rich to help.

  3. he is the one who lobbied for China to have an exemption

  4. Actually Al Gore did a lot about global warming when he was Vice President. Al Gore the principal person behind the Kyoto Protocol, which is really the only substantive thing that anyone has done about global warming so far.

Take a look at the first link below. It is the text of a speech given by Al Gore at the Climate Change Conference in Kyoto, Japan on December 8, 1997, WHILE HE WAS VICE PRESIDENT. Al Gore has arguably done more to advance the cause of dealing rationally with Climate Change than any other person.

  5. Al gore was it just that the enviroment wasn't a popular and alot was going on and other poltician and foals fuel company made media say that global warming wasn't real and we didn't know much about enviroment back either. why not check frontline site and look up recent issue. it might answer your question

  6. everybody knew about it we just have out heads in the sand.

  7. He was too busy driving his big Hummer.

  8. Who cares what Al Gore thinks?

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)

Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut and the first Commander of the Naval Space Command

Heres short and long summaries of that convincing data:
