Question:

If Allah's path is straight, why doesn't anyone know what the path actually is (given all the sects)?

"6:153 And this is My path, a Straight One. “So follow it, and do not follow the other paths lest they divert you from His path. That is what He has enjoined you to that you may be righteous.”

Quranis, hadith'ites, sunnis, shias, sufis, submitters, 19ers, three-times prayers, five-times prayers, different shahadas, niqabis, hijabis, non-hijabi-non-niqabis, mutah-was-halal, mutah-was-never-halal, mutah-is-halal etc. etc. etc.

Can reading the quran one more time solve all of these problems once and for all, given that the path is straight and clear?

  1. Allah Allmighty's path is Glorious Quran,

    THE WORD HADITH IN QURAN

A review of the use of the word Hadith in the Quran can show any sincere believer that God wants us to follow no other Hadiths but His Hadith, the QURAN.

Here is some of what the Quran says about Hadiths. The words are clear but those who insist on defying God cannot see it or feel it.

"Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all the things God has created? Does it ever occur to them that the end of their life may be near? Which HADITH, besides this (Quran) do they believe in?" 7:185

"Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless HADITH, and thus divert others from the path of God without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution." 31:6

"God has revealed herein the BEST HADITH; a book that is consistent and points out both ways (to heaven and h**l). The skins of those who reverence their Lord cringe therefrom, then their skins and their hearts soften up for God's message. Such is God's guidance; he bestows it upon whomever He wills. As for those sent astray by God, nothing can guide them." 39:23

"These are God's revelations (Quran) that we recite to you truthfully. In which HADITH other than God and His revelations do they believe?" 45:6

"Let them produce a HADITH like this (Quran) if they are truthful." 52:34

"Therefore, let Me deal with those who reject this HADITH(Quran); we will lead them on whence they never perceive." 68:44

"Which HADITH other than this do they uphold?" 77:50

  2. Well, at least 17 times a day we ask for guidance (although not all realize this) in Surah Al-Fatiha. If people become more sincere in saying those prayers, I think they will be guided more and more.

Moreover, those types you mentioned, some of them differ to some extent while the others have simple differences. You can name some of them as variations. I can't imagine all the Muslims of the world doing the exact same thing at the exact same time. I think that minor (not major) differences are just a sort of variety and that has no harm. Again, minor (not major) differences are what I am talking about.

  3. Sects in Islam only have slight differences, and these differences are not about what the Qur'an says, they are differences (like Shia believe Ali (RA) should have been the successor, and barelvi's believe you can have intercession of the wali-Allah's and Nabi) In the sects there are only slight differences, which are exploited by people trying to break up Muslims for political or economic reasons.

Our Aqeedah is one (except Sufi Aqeedah, which is different to Islam)

  4. its is one straight path, lailaha illala muhammadur rasoolullah

  5. prophet mohammed (peace be upon him)in one of his famous authentic prophecies had narrated that the muslim ummah will break up into seventythree sects, only one which is rightly guided and will remain steadfast on the straight path of ISLAM and therefore it will attain salvation while the other seventy two will be deviated from the straighpath.then the question was posed by the companions of the prophet mohammed(peace be upon him) to the prophet mohammed(peace be upon him)that which sect will then be the saved sect?prophet mohammed(peace be upon him)replied that the saved sect is the one which  adhers to the quran and the sunnah of the prophet strictly without adding any innovations.presently this sect is called by various terms like salafis, wahhabis, ahlehadis, ghair muqallid.this is the one which does not give any dominance to any imam or in other religious institution and is based upon the puritanical understanding from the authentic sources of ISLAM through the quran and the sunnah of the first three generations of ISLAM from the time of the prophethood of prophet mohammed(peace be upon him).they are considered strictly orthodox by others as they do not want any innovation to be added to the original, well preserved teachings of ISLAM and hence this sect is the one which is on the straight path.

  6. everything is clear, Allah (swt) ordered as to follow Muhammad (saw) otherwise it's a innovation,,

"...And whatsoever the messenger giveth you, take it. And whatsoever he forbiddeth, abstain (from it). And keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is stern in reprisal" (59:7)

"O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the messenger and those of you who are in authority; and if ye have a dispute concerning any matter, refer it to Allah and the messenger if ye are (in truth) believers in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more seemly in the end. (4:59)"

@Shah, for God's sake, who taught you how to pray? don't tell me from the Qur'an!

  7. If the Quran gave all the answers to life, the Hadith, Scholars, Shariah, Law, Government, and Death wouldn't exist.

Allah's path is the path of the prophets: Believe in Allah and his Prophet, and you go to heaven. It's simple, but with many laws and rules in the outside.

That is why the Quran does not answer all of our questions. Humans are made to have a choice, meaning we're all going to be rebels once in our lives. There isn't one religion without someone who's diverting from it and creating their own sect.

    Isn't that why Fitnah exists?

Life is a test. Allah gave us the Quran, and we have the choice to follow it or take the ticket to h**l.

    It's your choice.

  8. PREACH IT.

  9. It is straight and well known but people have what is called free will and some choose to follow it and others deny it and claim that their path is straight. Those who do not follow it either they lack knowledge or they choose to follow the wrong path.

  10. Quran without Sunnah is not possible, that idea has been demolished when the khwarij were demolished, don't think this is a new idea, it is an old one. The khawarij thought that all they needed was the Quran.

The Qur'an explicitly tell us to follow the prophets foot step.

Say, 'O mankind, truly I am a Messenger to you all from Allah to Whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. There is no god but He. He gives life and He causes death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Ummi Prophet, who believes in Allah and His words; and follow him that you may be rightly guided.' (Quran 7:159)

Without the Sunnah of the Prophet whether it is narrated by Companions or the Progeny of Muhammad (s) you will be wondering blindly.

Tell me, do you know the difference between those verses of the Qur'an which abrogate and those which are abrogated? Do you have a command of the intentions of Allah in the parables of the Qur'an? If your answer is NO!! Then you have perished and caused others to perish.

    Imam Ali (as) said:

A judge needs to know the various meanings of the Qur'an, the truth of the Prophetic way, the inward indications, courtesies, consensus and disagreements, and to be familiar with the bases of what they agree upon and disagree about. Then he must have acute discrimination, sound action, wisdom, and precaution. If he has these things, then let him judge.

  11. Read Holy Qur,aan from a person who is Aalam (scholar) in Arabian language.  He will explain to you properly and you will not ask this kind of question. It is very simple and very easy path and above all a peaceful and successful.

  12. The path of God is INDEED straight. If you follow the Quran Alone, you are on the right path. It does not matter whether you are delivering the salat 3 times or 5 times. What matters is, DO you accept the Quran as your source of guidance or not.

If you understand that the prayer is 5 times through the Quran, then follow it. Do not listen to us. If you are convinced that it is 3 times, then follow that. Do not listen to others.

    ----xxxx------

    39:18

They are the ones who examine all words, then follow the best. These are the ones whom GOD has guided; these are the ones who possess intelligence.

    ----xxxx----

If you accept other sources besides the Quran, then there is no limit to your confusion and the number of gods you have. Then you have to follow: Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmizi, Abu-Dawood, Ibn-e-Maja, Abu-Hanifa, Shafii, Jaafri, Sunni, Shia, Salafi, Wahabi, Deobandi, Barailvi, Raiwindi, Agha Khani, Ahmedi, Qadyani, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc............ the list is UNENDING.

  13. and who's going to make the one more time reading, the shiite, khawarej, motazilite or sonnite! there is only one straight path of the earlier motazilites, others are lost, either because they are ignorant or because they are evil, the ignorant are the lost, the evil ones are who are god's angry with, and the real motazilite are who are graced by the one
